Yes. The ink is an erasable cartridge in a real ballpoint, so the pen writes with or without power.

Nexus Pen charges over standard USB-C. We will publish measured battery life with the first production units. And because it writes with real ink, it keeps working as a pen even when the battery is empty.

Yes. Open the Chat with Donna page in Chrome or Edge on a laptop or PC, sign in, and click Connect Pen. The pen connects wirelessly. Other browsers do not support connecting a pen from a computer.

The first run is built before our production molds exist, so we assemble and test every pen by hand. 110 is how many we can build ourselves and still check personally.

Donna is the AI assistant built into every Nexus Pen. She has five specialized modes (Answer, School, Research, Creative, and Language) and is designed to be helpful, patient, and context-aware. Donna runs on large language models tuned for the pen's audio pipeline.

Hold the AI button and ask your question out loud. Donna works out the answer, says it through the pen's speaker and shows it on the color screen.

Nexus Pen includes five AI modes: Answer (quick factual responses), School (Socratic homework help that guides without just giving answers), Research (deep analysis), Creative (writing, brainstorming, storytelling), and Language (translation and language learning). Family users can create custom modes. See the five modes.

Yes. The Free plan gives you access to Answer and School modes with a daily query limit. It's a great way to experience Donna before upgrading. Plus and Family plans unlock all five modes, higher limits, and premium features.

We offer three personal plans: Free (15 answers/day), Plus and Family. See Plans for what each plan includes.

With the Family plan, you can add up to 5 family members to your subscription. Each member gets their own account, personal query limit, and AI history. You manage billing from a single account while everyone gets their own personalized Donna experience.

The pen connects wirelessly to the Nexus Pen app. There are no pairing codes.
